Smartthings MQTT bridge MAC address

Just for anyone’s information for switching to Hass.io and running Smartthings MQTT bridge. Make sure you use the mac address of the actual raspberry pi or device rather than the docker mac address or else your smartthings hub might not actual receive commands from home assistant.

How can I find the Mac address of the Pi?

Sorry I honestly can’t remember or figure out how I got it last time. If I figure it out I’ll send you a message.

Thanks! I think I got it figured - I used an android app called “Fing” which shows me the Mac and IP addresses of all the devices on my local network. I feel like there must be a way to do it from inside hass.io - but I haven’t found it yet.

Just found out - you can login to your local router to find IP and Mac addresses of all the devices on the network. Interestingly, the Fing app pulled an IP address that was one digit off than the IP address listed in my routers’ settings. I suspect Fing was picking up the Pi’s WiFi, and my home router was picking up the Pi’s ethernet port. Either way, I ended up using the Router IP, to get the Smarthings bridge running correctly.

Glad you figured it out. My router gave me the wrong Mac address but I’m glad you’re works.
