Smartthings multipurpose sensor integrated into home assistant without bridge?

Hi,

I read that the Samsung Smartthings sensors could be integrated directly into home assistant without using the samsung bridge. Just wanted to get another confirmation if this is true?

I am referring to this sensor:

I wanted to use this sensor to tell if the washing machine has completed its washing. Is this workable?

Thanks

Hi,

I am using several Samsung sensors and they are zigbee based. They show up in HA as a Samjin Multi sensor. I also have an older type of Samsung sensor and it shows up as a Samsung SM-T56ONU and I have a outlet switch too, it showed up as SmartThings outletv4. They all work fine for me.

Thanks Marcel for your feedback.

I forgot to mention that I do have the CC2531 Zigbee dongle for zigbee devices.

Now that you mention that the Smartthings devices work fine I will go get some.

Cheers

I have one sensor as well and it shows up as Samjin. It did work fine with SmartThings hub but now with home assistant only movement and open/close sensors are working. Temperature shows constantly the same value, likely value when it was added to Home Assistant.
