In order to use Zigbee, will the SMlight controler device or similar, work with HA if fitted with RJ45 into my Modem Router Combo box, or do I need to replace the combo box with a seperate Modem, Router and Switch?
It’s a WIFI device so chances are it will just work, but a few questions.
Do you have WIFI at home?
How is your Home Assistant box connected?
If it’s on an ethernet wire, it your WIFI and your ethernet in the same subnet? (Sometimes WIFI is on a guest network that is not the same as the ethernet wire.)
Yes I have Modem Router combo box that provides the wifi. I have not fitted the HA Box yet. I hope to fit the coordinator into either a rasberry Pi, Green or another NUC. There is no Guest Network
