Had an update today (v2.8.7) and now all devices offline. Never seen this before. Anyone resolve this or have this issue today?
Yes here is another thread, but no resolution yet. I am on v2.8.7 with no issues.
Where do I find the one to revert to? Is it the core/firmware or both?
You can access your coordinator via http://slzb-06 or itâs IP address
Am I updating the zigbee OTA? I canât find where to downgrade that. Updating the Core firmware doesnât work - says disconnected.
Yes you should be using this. Youâll need to provide additional info to address why it is showing disconnected
SLZB status
What specific SLZB device are you using?
Update: The firmware update caused it to change to âUSBâ mode. Once I switched it to LAN it connected.
Change this, o think in the Setting Web Site fixed it?
UPDATE: It works!!!
Changing the setting resolved it.
Arrrggh - I wish Iâd seen this post (and the fix) before I hit this too. I had the same experience and had to re-pair everything after rolling back to version 2.7.1. A quick summary of my process (there seem to be a few ways to do this) :-
1.) Go to SMLIGHT FIRMWARE UPDATER and select the SLBZ-06 section on the left and pane.
2.) Select firmware 2.7.1 from the available f/w selection.
3.) Connected my device to my PC via a USB-C to USB-C cable. I found that my PC didnât see the SLBZ-06 in device manager so installed the drivers from https://www.silabs.com/documents/public/software and selected the âCP210x_Universal_Windows_Driver.zipâ file. Under your COM ports in device manager the SLZB-06 should now be seen as a âSilicon Labs CP210x USB to UART Bridgeâ
4.) Flash the software onto the SLZB-06 by clicking âFlash v2.7.1â.
5.) Reconfigure the SLZB-06 and connect to the SLBZ-06 web page. From there it will ask what mode you want to use the device in. I used Zigbee co-ordinator and it downloads and installs the correct radio firmware for you.
6.) Ensure HA sees your SLBZ-06 as it did before.
7.) Re-pair devices.
Sorry, I only down-revved before seeing the fix so PLEASE DONâT DO THIS if not required. I plan on trying the update again tomorrow and changing the mode from USB to LAN. Much easier ![]()
How do you swap back from USB if you cant connect to the SLZB?
Youâll have to provide additional information.
- What model do you have?
- How was it connected to your network?
The manual
Configuring with Button
Using the physical button, the following settings are possible:
- Changing the device operating mode from Zigbee-to-Ethernet to Zigbee-to-USB and vice versa. The operating mode of the device is changed by short pressing the button.
- Controlling the behaviour of LEDs. Long press - turns off the LEDs. Another long press - switches the LEDs to the default operating mode.
For a full device resetâŠ
Hold the button down while powering on the device(inserting the usb cord) until the LEDs flash.
WARNINGâŠYouâll lose all your connected deviceâs info**
Thank you. I canât seem to turn back on the leds even if I hold the buttons. If I push it shortly to switch the light up, but since they donât stay on I have no idea what mode itâs in.

If you plug the dongle into a PC via USB does the online flasher recognize it?
It seems to be a malfunction with the Ethernet port. I unplugged the cable , connected to the Wi-Fi the SLZB created, and used the web interface to set it to WIFI instead of Ethernet, changed the z2m ip address and now everything is working.
When searching it seems like a lot of people have problems with the Ethernet portâŠ
Did you do a firmware upgrade via HA vs the SMLIGHT UI?
I havenât intentionally done an upgrade, so itâs probably done from HA.
The reason I posted here was that I seem to have the same problem when I discovered that it wasnât working. But it seems like my reason is a dead Ethernet port like so many others have I found out. It works again as normal when itâs set to WiFi.
I also checked the IP address when it was set to Ethernet and it didnât get one, but showed as connected.
Here is it up and going with WiFi, and you see the FW
