I currently have 3 Nest Protects, they’re due to expire in the coming months. As Google decided to end them for whatever reason I now need to find an alternative to replace them with.
So far all the ones I have found are all battery powered, I’m looking for something that is mains powered as that’s what I have installed at the moment. For reference I’m based in the UK. I’m running both ZWave and Zigbee networks and have no preference, just hoping for something that integrates with HA.
Yes I am very familiar with how to search for topics/answers. So far in my search no one has mentioned Wired detectors in their responses. I am looking for practical real word experience from people who are based in the UK and using wired smoke detectors that also integrate well with Home Assistant. All of the detectors that have been referenced in topics I have read are all battery powered, this unfortunately does work for me. I would have to find a way to isolate the circuit in my house that powers the detectors, having 240volts live in my ceiling void doesn’t sit well with me or my family.
If the topic has been covered and I have somehow missed it, the preferred response would be for someone to point me at that topic.
