Smoke detectors don't report smoke

Hi,
I have several Aqara Smoke Detectors connected via Z2M. They all report that they communicate with HA nicely, I see battery status etc. However, I had some false alarms recently (we had some works to do on our walls with lots of dust), on Smoke Detector detected smoke and gave a signal. However, I had no chance to see anything in HA, so status change, no measurement, nothing.
Anything I can check? I didn’t start with all notifications, yet. But without any status change appearing in HA I can’t build any automation :frowning:

Thanks,

Thomas

Did it create a binary sensors? Check in here for things with the same device:
Open your Home Assistant instance and show your state developer tools.

Are there any events when the alarm is raised? Check here:
Open your Home Assistant instance and show your event developer tools.

Finally with Z2M what activity is going on with the device. You are likely MQTT integrated, so go here and find the device:
Open your Home Assistant instance and show an integration.
Then when in the device watch here in Activity to see what is happening and capture that whatever it is.

Mine creates a binary sensor and I have an automation…
Home-Assistant-Config/automation2/Smoke_A2.yaml at master · SirGoodenough/Home-Assistant-Config · GitHub.

Thanks for the feedback…
The binary sensor is there. I couldn’t check events, yet. But I checked the sensor’s history and there’s nothing in there, it’s reporting that all is clear. Also I couldn’t see any activity.
