SMS notifications via GSM-modem integration alternative

I am using this integration to handle SMS sent and received through a usb modem in home assistant. However, I started getting notifications that the integration will stop working in 2025.12.0. Is there an alternative?

I still want to have this control through the existing SIM card, and not through an online/cloud platform. What are others using for critical notifications if internet is down?

Did you look at HACS solutions?

I couldn’t find this project in HACS but I guess it can be added manually. I was hoping for an integration or addon that can be easily managed through HA.
