Sol-Ark HACS: Changed WiFi Dongle to a static IP address: how to reset network info?

I’ve updated my Sol-Ark HACS Modbus-based WifI Dongle configuration with a static IP address but do not see where this can be changed in HA. It actually never asked me for an IP address when fist installed. How do I best fix this? Thanks much in advance.

Hello tjnk,

HACS is an interface integration that helps you install and update custom integrations found in GitHub. It has no effect on the operation of the CI.
You may have installed this using HACS, but the custom integration comes from a GitHub repository created and maintained by someone else.
If you have a problem with a specific custom integration, your first step should be to check the original GitHub post where you found it. The people there know the product and use the software, so they can give you better help with your issue. You might find someone here who can help, but it’s not guaranteed.

HI, The download, in fact, it even shows up under the standard HA downloads now. It is at: GitHub - pbix/HA-solark-PV: Home Assistant integration for the SolArk PV Inverter
When I tried to do a custom install, HA in fact informed me to just get the already implemented version. Thanks for the suggestion to look for Github help. The AI hints I get indicate that when installed, there should be the means to put in an IP address, but that never cropped up. There may be some additional documentation on that site, as well. Thank you!
Note added: I found out you have to configure the local IP address as the “home” entry, which I was able to do (after making sure it was preserved as a static IP), but now, there seems to be a firewall issue. Even though I can ping the Dongle from the PC, it won’t let me connect to port 502. I tried opening that up in the firewall, but still no success. Nothing on the Sol-ark forum that clarifies this. Very frustrating.

I just posted a question om the Sol-ark Github forum, so hoping for some help from there.

Just curious if anyone else has run into firewall or other access issues that might explain the communication not working (with this or similar add-ons that require access to specific ports)?

It now appears that the WiFi dongle in use is not modbus compatible (SA-ETH-PWR). Looks like I might need something that connects to the RS485 port, using a module to convert to Ethernet, such as the USR-TCP232-410S. Sorry for all the confusion, as this is not as straight-forward as anticipated.
