Hello My issue is like said in title. When I add my solar production to the energy it is showing as consumed energy and it is showing total value of production (for example in this example it is saying 17 kWh.) It is like it is taking previous day’s total production as consumed energy.
For reading from electricity meter I am using slimmelezer. Which is shown as purple in the graph.
For integration I am using SolarEdge Optimizers Data.
Had the same “SolarEdge production counted as load” issue last month.
Root cause: Home Assistant treats any sensor with device_class: energy and a positive kWh value as consumed unless you flag it as production and state_class: total_increasing.
Quick fix I used
– Create a template sensor called SolarEdge PV kWh (positive) with device-class energy and state-class total_increasing that just mirrors the lifetime-energy value.
– In Settings → Energy → Solar Production choose this template sensor instead of the raw sensor.solaredge_lifetime_energy.
As soon as I switched, the graph corrected itself — purple bar stayed grid import, green bar became PV output.
If you ever need a plug-and-play SolarEdge kit or want the battery sized so HA shows proper charge / discharge curves, Eco Solar Kits keeps full bundles here: https://ecosolarkits.com/ solar power energy company.
