Hi there.
Really loving the SolarEdge HA integration.
Having used it a week or so, (in basic non modus mode) that is pulling data off the SE cloud server Ive noticed a few things and can I ask a couple questions
1/ 15 minute SE cloud data pull. I’m happy with this right now - could configure modus - but seems a bit complicated. Any dangers of screwing up my API or SolarEdge app doing this?
2/ The 21 or so SolarEdge data entities that are pulled off the SE cloud server. Does anyone have a full descriptor of what they actually refer to? As an example a few previous blog posts recommend “life time energy” for the solar panel energy data field. I couldn’t get this to work : I think it broke after I reloaded a previous backup. Wouldn’t work even after a reboot of HA, checking entity enabling etc. “Production energy” worked a snap. So what is the difference between these two solar entities? Is there a link to what all the various SolarEdge entities actually mean?
3/ If I want to write programming off this would it be best using the Modus or Cloud based data pulls? As an example if I want to stay with basic cloud and I accept the 15min lag, how do I say run logic if (export greater than import) then (switch on y load)? What entities from the Solaredge API available in HA would I use for this logic and home automation?
Thanks!
