Hi, I’ve been using the Solaredge Modbus integration for over a year nowm through various version upgrades. I have a specific dashboard with the most used variables and settings. And a few automations.
A couple of days ago the inverter was replaced under warranty, but after setting IP address and enabling Modbus TCP everything was back to working as normal.
Today HA suddenly decided to add in the new inverter as a new device, together with a new battery and new meter. So it lists six devices instead of three. And the entities relating to the original, used in my dashboard and automations are all now suddenly “unavailable”.
Any suggestions as to how best to fix this? Other than going through each line of dashboard and automations and changing them to reference the new device? Really I’d like the original device ID in HA to match the new inverter, as it did until just now.
