Solax X1 G4 Parallel Installation Issues

Hi All,

Wondering if anyone else out there has a similar installation with similar issues, and hopefully what made them better.

I have 2 X1 G4 inverters in parallel mode with a battery pack each to the total of 12KwH. These are connected to the Solax Cloud, but not running any automations from there (because it doesn’t work ever).

I have them connected to HA using the Solax Modbus interface through a WaveShare Ethernet to RS485 converter, and this appears to work ok, but I have the following issues:

I get an “ARMParaComFlt - 112” message every so often (every couple of days) which will not clear until I disable the SolaxModbus in HA, then it starts working again. and I can restart the SolaxModbus interface and everything works again.

I have the Waveshare set to the default 19200 baud for the inverter, and I did have it set to 15 second polling, though I’ve just changed that to 30 seconds to see if that makes it less likely to fault.

I have no terminators on the line (it didn’t seem to work with them on) but the cable is about 30m long, though this is well within spec for RS485.

Is the connection between the inverters just an extension of the RS485 com connection back to the Waveshare? Do I need to set the waveshare to be a multi server connection?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

The data that comes back is largely usable, with the SOC and a few other things working ok, but some of the data is clearly wrong, and none of the PM data seems correct, it looks like it’s out of sync somehow with the table. As an example, my “PM I2 PV Current” is showing as 6,553A which I think is a little high

Any help would be gratefully received.
