Hi everyone,
I have published Solesta for Home Assistant, an independent community integration for monitoring Solesta solar water heaters.
The integration connects to the Solesta web service and creates a separate Home Assistant device for each configured solar water heater. It also includes a dedicated dashboard card that presents the system status, current temperatures, stored energy and temperature history.
Main features
-
Configuration through the Home Assistant user interface
-
Support for multiple Solesta accounts and solar water heaters
-
Tank and collector temperatures
-
Stored energy in MJ and kWh
-
Estimated number of standard showers
-
Pump, reporting and alert status
-
Adjustable tank capacity, cold-water temperature, shower energy and polling interval
-
Day and seven-day tank-temperature history
-
Optional weekly archives based on Home Assistant Recorder history
-
Downloadable diagnostics with credentials and raw provider values omitted
-
English and Dutch interface translations
-
A bilingual Solesta system-status dashboard card
The current release is version 0.2.3.
Requirements
-
Home Assistant 2026.9.0 or newer
-
HACS
-
A working Solesta Monitor account with at least one linked system
-
Internet access from Home Assistant to
https://dashboard.solesta.nl
Installation through HACS
The integration is currently distributed as a HACS custom repository:
-
Open HACS in Home Assistant.
-
Open the three-dot menu and select Custom repositories.
-
Add:
https://github.com/herelder/home-assistant-solesta -
Select Integration as the repository type.
-
Open Solesta in HACS and select Download.
-
Restart Home Assistant.
-
Go to Settings → Devices & services → Add integration and search for Solesta.
After creating the provider connection, add a discovered solar water heater and enable it through Reconfigure system. New systems are initially disabled so that their configuration can be reviewed before polling starts.
The optional dashboard card can then be added from the normal Home Assistant card picker as Solesta system status.
Repository and documentation

Known limitations
-
This is a cloud-polling integration. Its availability depends on both internet access and the Solesta web service.
-
The integration currently supports the Solesta Web API used by
dashboard.solesta.nl. -
Changes made by Solesta to its web service may require an integration update.
-
Temperature history and weekly archives depend on Home Assistant Recorder. History that Recorder has already removed cannot be recovered.
-
Installation currently requires manually adding the GitHub repository to HACS.
Independent community project
This is an independent community integration. It is not developed, certified, supported or endorsed by Solesta or by the Home Assistant project.
For account, hardware or Solesta service problems, please contact Solesta support. For integration bugs and feature requests, please use the GitHub repository.
Feedback and testing by other Solesta users would be very welcome.
