Solutions for LPG tank monitoring

Makes sense.

Unfortunately, my propane company wasn’t as accommodating. They offered tank monitoring for $200 upfront, plus an additional $60 per year—it just didn’t make sense to me.

What I like about your unit is the solar power and cellular connectivity, especially during power outages. I’ve used Mopeka in the past, but wasn’t impressed. We’re not always home, and if you use their WiFi bridge and the power goes out, you’re out of luck—which can be a big problem during hurricane season when we’re relying on our backup generator.

I’ve also heard that the propane company-provided monitors can be difficult to integrate, but I’m hopeful yours works.

@deanfourie can you please share the details for your solution of measuring the LPG? it looks really awesome, and I think it fit my needs perfectly
