[SOLVED] Can't login to community via cloud

This is a throwaway account with direct login. My normal account can’t login. I usually log in via the home assistant cloud. However, now it’s giving me an error that it can’t retrieve my user information, and asking if I have an active account. However, when I login with the same credentials directly to account.nabucasa.com it works fine, shows I’m paid up until October. I logged in through the cloud as recently as early February. Not sure what else to do other than report the problem here.

The first time I tried to login via the cloud it asked for my credentials, then jumped to this screen…

Now when I try, it just jumps straight to that screen without asking for credentials, impying that I successfully logged in part way (it’s not asking me for my credentials again), it just can’t get whatever it needs for the community to recognize me.

Logging in directly to account.nabucasa.com, I get this screen, so yes, I have an active account.

Are you saying that you are trying to log into the forum with your HA Cloud login? AFAIK, those are not connected in any way.

This Home Assistant Community Discourse server you are reading this on is not using the same login as Nabu-Casa. The only connection is I think you can use the N-C login as a 2fa for your login here (maybe), just like you can use GitHub or a Yubikey or phone.

Well I’ll be damned. Was gonna say you can’t log in to these forums with your nabucasa credentials, but it seems you can.

If you’re 100% sure you had an active account in these forums before, you can search for your old username in the search box:

Yes, and I’ve found old posts I made just last month (just to confirm I was in the right place).

See the screenshot ShadowFist posted of the login screen. It’s the middle button on the right. It just apparently stopped working (for me) sometime between early Feburary, and now.

Nevermind. Apparently I wasn’t logging in through the cloud. That was the only login I had in the password manager, and it was an option here, so I figured that must be it. I just did a password reset via the normal login, and now I can login that way. Move along. Nothing to see here. I’m too young for this nonsense to be happening to me.

That one way to use 2fa, two factor authentication as I mentioned.
