The iOS client has begun starting at the “Overview” dashboard even though I have always had it set yo start on the “mobile” dashboard on phone.
What more is, it is more or less frozen. I can open the sidebar (with a long lag), but then I can’t press the “mobile”, or even my name to change any device specific settings.
I have noticed that it is getting worse, and happening more frequently (it used to automatically revert to expected behavior). Now it has been stuck like this for more than a day, meaning I can’t use the mobile app - everything is unresponsive. Even a force close and open or a full phone reboot does nothing. And after moving to iPhone, I learned that you can’t clear app cache, so I don’t really know what else to try except uninstalling and reinstalling, which seems like something I wouldn’t want to have as a default fix.
It seems to be only/mostly when on my home network though, but that’s still a big problem. I also know that it happens on my girlfriend’s phone as well, so it’s not just my phone/app.
Has anyone seen anything like this, and perhaps have some idea for a fix?
Desktop is fine, and (after testing a bit more) it seems pretty consistent that if I turn off wifi while home so I use mobile data, it also works immediately. It’s just when connected to home network.
As an update for anyone searching for answers of their own, I think I have found the culprit: the browser-mod custom component.
Apparently, this integration has created 1489 new devices (browser it has registered, ~1480 of which say Last connected: Never). All of the entities created from these devices were automatically added to the Overview dashboard, which seems to have become too much.
I still can’t say why the mobile app on home network started opening the Overview instead of my dedicated “Mobile” dashboard, but deleting browser-mod solved it.
Since I started deleting things from the Overview dashboard using desktop, it is no longer auto updated, so not I just need to manually delete the 1489 devices from that dashboard (feature request: “Factory Reset” Overview dashboard)…
