Solved (own fault): After zigbee2mqtt upgrade: MQTT error: Connection refused: Not authorized

Good evening.

I have Home Assistant running in Virtualbox on a Windows server.

I just made a mistake and updated zigbee2mqtt addon to a newer version 1.28.4 without need. Only because HA had suggested this update.

After the update, zigbee2mqtt does not start anymore:

Zigbee2MQTT:info 2022-12-02 20:09:13: Connecting to MQTT server at mqtt://core-mosquitto:1883
Zigbee2MQTT:error 2022-12-02 20:09:13: MQTT error: Connection refused: Not authorized

Zigbee2MQTT:info 2022-12-02 20:09:20: Stopped zigbee-herdsman

I have not changed anything at all.

I have already tried to restart the system and to stop and start the two addons (MQTT and zigbee2mqtt) one after the other - all without success.

usually, when you click update, there is a tick box for a backup. Have you tried restoring the backup, if you made one before? I mean of the zigbee2mqtt addon, not the whole system

Thank you very much for the feedback. Now I finally realise that I had changed my user password in the meantime. And it was written in the configuration. Sorry for my impatience and for the unnecessary posting here. Case solved.
