Hello, new to HA. I’m testing things. And I have a user that is partially hidden from my admin account.
When I go to settings > People, I see 4 entries.
My self, admin, the account I manage HA from my PC
Tablet Bedroom user
Tablet Kitchen user
Tablet Hallway user
(I have 1 user per device, with separate login creds and I dashboard per device)
I had created a user that was going to be using another pc, running linux (I am just testing some things), called the user “Linux”.
For some reason the user is now GONE from the list above. But when I go to edit a dashboard to “view configuration” > “Visibility”, I can see 5 users. All the above plus Linux.
What is going on? How did I do that? I will check with the Linux PC in a couple of days. I stored it in my warehouse. I just don’t understand what settings could “Linux” user have changed that he is hidden from master admin account. How is this even possible?
Just to clarify, are these Users or Persons? Both Persons and Users can be created independent from one another, but creating a Person with “Allow Login” enabled will create a paired Person and User.
If you need a login for a device/use that isn’t related to an actual person that you will be tracking for presence or location, you should just create a new User, not a new Person.

I will fix that after I find a solution to the missing person/user. Sorry, I am super new to HA.
omg thank you so so sooo much! I can see the user now. So Linux is not a person but a user. OK… Having trouble understanding that. I have to google it or watch a youtube video.
I guess one person can have multiple users? Thank you once again!
