Somfy TILT&LIFT 25 WF ZIGBEE with Tahoma Switch?

I’ve just bought two venetian blinds (from blindsbypost.co.uk) that have Somfy zigbee motors. I also have a Somfy Tahoma Switch, and an ysia remote. The motors say on them that they are TILT&LIFT 25 WF ZIGBEE.

So far I’ve installed one of them, and managed to calibrate it and now control it using the Ysia remote, according to the instructions here: https://service.somfy.com/downloads/au_v5/ysiastandalone_instructions.pdf

However, I can’t connect it to the Switch using the Tahoma app. When I try to add it in the app, I get the message: “Unable to pair Your device needs adjustments before it can be paired. Please contact your installer for this.” Obviously I can try to see if BlindsByPost can help, but I can’t help thinking that the clue is in the name, especially since they’ve sent all the installer documentation with the blinds (which says to use the Tahoma Pro app, which I can’t as I don’t have an installer account with Somfy).

I know that the Tahoma Switch is working, as I’ve managed to add a velux blind to it with no trouble at all.

I’ve obviously tried turning it off and on again (where “it” is the blind, and I’ve hard reset it and started from scratch twice now).

I’m now about to try again, this time hard resetting it and using the GitHub - magik6k/somfy-sonesse2-ble-calib-tool-esp · GitHub from @devtty instead of the remote. I’ll report back on the results, but meanwhile if anyone has any clue as to what the problem might actually be I’d be really grateful!

I got the calibration tool working and discovered that the TiltRange in the motor config was set to null. I tried to set it using the tool’s commands, but even though the slats tilted as desired, the range full command didn’t seem to have any effect. I then used the config set command to simply write a value in there. A bit of experimentation showed that 880 was really too low (the slats didn’t tilt fully up) but that entering a higher number made no difference.

However, with that config option set, the Somfy Tahoma Switch was happy to connect to the blind, which is good :slight_smile:

Next step is to use the Tahoma app to add the blind to the remote, and add the device to Home assistant. If that end result isn’t satisfactory, I do then at least have the option of using the calibration tool to connect the blind directly to Z2MQTT, which would mean that I couldn’t use the remote which would be a bore but would be better than nothing.
