Sonoff Devices Last Seen

I have an unmodded Sonoff bridge (ZBBridge-P) on my HA instance as well as four temp/humid devices and a ZBMinir2 relay.

I am constantly having issues with the devices “Last Seen” not being very current even though I know a condition has changed (the temp has changed)

I feel like the connection between the sensors and the bridge isnt good, though I cant seem to find a way to validate that assumption.

I have two questions:

  • If sensors are quite aways from the bridge do I need relays? And if so what would be recommended?
  • Is there a way to have HA prompt the Sonoff sensors at a particular interval, say 4 hourly, to get an update on the conditions the sensor is monitoring? At the moment I dont feel as if I can trust what the sensors are reporting when it comes to HA automations.

What are you using ? SonoffLan or the Ewelink add-on ?

I just added the Sonoff integration through settings. It shows up as a Custom Integration on the integration page. Its the AlexxTT SonofLAN implementation.
