Sonoff Dongle Plus MG24 not seeing Sonoff Dongle Plus E V2?

I still consider myself fairly new to this (not by when I started with it, but by what I comprehend about it).

I flashed the latest coordinator firmware to the MG. I flashed the latest router software to the Sonoff E stick. Both using the sonoff flasher on the web: Sonoff Dongle Flasher - SONOFF Dongle.

Installed zigbee2mqtt (z2m for shortening it). Coordinator seems to work, sees my aqara stuff, the sonoff water valve in the garden, the IKEA LED repeater tc.

It seems not to see the Sonoff E I flashed as a router.

a) where would I see the E stick if all went well? As a normal device in z2m devices page?
b) why does it not work?

PS: Back when the E stick was the sole coordinator with ZHA, it saw even my small tiny USB repeaters (noname things from aliexpress. Those are not seen by the current Z2M setup, either)

PS2: Little sidenote, the silabs github darkxst etc flashed does not work .. it just hangs in "detecting firmware".

PS3: Why is the Z2M network map only showing the connections to the IKEA LED repeater? All otehr deices on the MG24 do work, but are just dots and no coordinator in the image.

Noone with a PMG24 and not seeing their Sonoff repeaters?

I don't own any of those specific devices, so the below is generic advice which applies in all zigbee networks.

You say you were using the Sonoff E stick as a coordinator previously. How did you switch to the Dongle plus? Did you use the migrate functionality in ZHA or Z2M to avoid having to re-pair all your devices?
If so, be aware that migration will copy the IEEE address from the old coordinator & burn it into the new one, so that now both devices have the same IEEE address. If that's the case, then the reason for your issues is that you can't have 2 devices with the same address on your network.

Basically, your options are to either try to burn a new secondary IEEE address on your dongle E (as explained here) or else trash it or give it to a friend.

Yes, but you have to get it in pairing mode while Permit Join is on in Z2M. Same goes for your USB repeaters - you might have to pair them to your network again.
