SONOFF Smart Water Valve Battery always at 0%

First let me note that I’m using ZHA and not Z2MQTT. My firmware says “up to date” and the latest/installed version is 0x00001003.

I’m using the SONOFF Zigbee dongle on Firmware: 8.0.2.0 build 397.

I changed the perfectly good batteries with new batteries and am still getting 0%. Any suggestions?

Yes, well it appears to work.

Then the devise hardware may have changed and the value is no longer available to report to you. Likely nothing you can do.

Quite possible, however others have the same water valve and are not reporting a problem with the battery. I thought it might have been because I’m using ZHA but someone else is also using that and has 100% battery.

They change the hardware all the time. My latest ecowitt plant water sensor came without the hardware to tell me about the battery. The other 2 have it and don’t report 0m for instance.

I’m having the same issue but it hasn’t always been the case. I bought the device this spring and the battery percentage was reported until almost two days ago when it went offline for about 12 hrs starting just before midnight. When it was picked up again dropped from 58% to 0 and has been there ever since. I tried swapping out batteries, restarting HA, removing the device and reinstalling and any other manner of hoops I could think of. Still showing 0 percent. I looked at the logs and at 11:56pm a ZHA Event was fired for the device followed by unavailable for everything except the battery. It is like it ceased existing at that time.
