Sonoff switches S1 and S2 voltage

I have several of the original ZBMINI’s and was always under the impression S1 and S2 were low voltage. However when I check S1 with a multimeter to earth I see 230V across it and 60/70V across the S2 terminals.

I’ve checked the wiring and L-in and N are my feed with L-out and N going to my light fitting.

Why am I seeing 230V on my S1 when the documentation shows that it should be Low voltage of a few V’s?

Ah that would make sense if that’s how the ZBMini works.

It’s a shame Sonoff’s manuals aren’t more specific with how their devices work.
