Hi, I’m thinking to get few Sonoff T1 3 gang UK type switches for my home. The plan is to integrate along with HA with Tasmota firmware or maybe just go with ifttt.
However, i noticed it seems there are 2 types of T1 switches where one is with round shape of the light indicator and another with the square. Any idea what is the difference?
I want to get the one with square light indicator actually.
The round ones are the original Sonoff ones, the square ones are newer. I have both in my house (flashed with tasmota). They both work the same way.
The only issue I have with the square ones is the “square” is a lit up square and during the day when the switch is off I can’t see the square (very enoying) as it’s very dim.
Just make sure you have a neutral wire as both require one.
If you don’t have a neutral wire then you would need to get the “SONOFF T4EU1C” but they only come in the “round” switch type.
Thanks for the clarification. Actually i prefer the square type as it looks more classy. One suggestion, maybe you can put a small label on switch, at least it can guide you where to touch to switch on/off. Also, i need 3 gang switch, so have to go with the neutral version. I’m going to ask electrician to come over my house to lay the additional neutral wire anyway.
