i saw the new Sonoff TP-WGZBA which is compatible with HA via zigbee2mqtt. I was wondering if there is a chance (eventually using some kind of wrapper) to use it also in cooling mode.
My desire was to use it in combination of a contactor (using its dry contact) or by commanding directly a small load (as it should with a max of 3A). It has the advantage of providing a wall mounted thermometer without a battery so people in the roome cannot move the thermometer and it is more difficult to heat it up to turn the AC on.
My backup idea (but I don’t know if can work this way) is to use the already set up “fake” dual_mode generic thermostat (which uses the contactor as switch) and put it with the sonoff real one in a climate group using the climate group helper
Or alternatively, is there a way to expose the single entities and then create ma “fake” dual_mode generic thermostat which will act as the thermostat with both cooling and heating mode?
