SONOFF Universal Zigbee 3.0 USB Dongle Plus ZBDongle E Mshome - Zigbee2MQTT issues

I’m really worries me about taking this approach to update the SONOFF Universal Zigbee 3.0 USB Dongle Plus ZBDongle E to a the Ember firmware or if it needs it at all.

until I get a little more advice from you all, please? I have a sonoff E dongle flashed a few years ago that runs all my ZHA devices, also runs MQTT for my Govee devices, with Mosquitto broker and I have Wled into HA as well.

The issues I have if getting ESP32 into MSHOME it always gives me an error of configuration created but unable to detect the device on the network. I see nothing on this when I look for Search for ttyUSB or serial.

My concern is if I update this firmware, will it stop the other Zigbee2MQTT add-on I have installed. Though I think this is already not able to start.
And will Govee and WLed still keep working? Or would it be safer to buy a newer device update device like a SMLIGHT SLZB-06Mg26U or something, where I could just plug it in to replace the SONOFF Universal Zigbee 3.0 USB Dongle Plus ZBDongle E and hope things get detected. It also pluged into a Ikoolcore usb running on a proxmox

The whole thing worries me as everything will stop working or if it goes wrong, and I have a lot of medical things running with it all, come to a halt.
So it’s best I find further details out on the community first. Thank you for your time Help in advance!

I’m also not fully sure if both can run at the same time either so any tips will also be very helpful to know.

Do I need to update the firmware, and how to I check and know what version I have the firmware at, would also be helpful to know.

Why I’m trying to get MSHOME to work is to be able to use ESP32 in Home Assistant, yes I know I have them in with wled but this is not building the setup yourself, which is what I want to try!

I just feel is time to try to resolve this long bug on the SONOFF Universal Zigbee 3.0 USB Dongle Plus ZBDongle E and to improve the performance as that is also slowing down again.

ZHA devices all work great and stable.

These are the Add on I have tried to get to work with no luck at all, I’m still a noob!

Ok just ignore all I asked about as its a simple case of installing wled direct onto a esp32 and it shows up in Home Assistant and no need for any Zigbe2MQTT or MSHOME

what I need now to know do I attempt to update my Sonoff to a newer version when I’m not quite sure fully which firmware to update it with?
