I configured my Sony AN1000 AV receiver with the enpoint set to http://192.168.16.14:10000/sony and it connected OK. However, I cannot control it - the only controls are for power and volume, which do not work:
Thanks, I should have included that info but yes it’s on the list and the firmware is up to date. Nothing is appearing in the logs. I was just concerned that while the device is listed in the integration, there are no options to select input source.
The media_player.ta_an1000 device on the integration page would not allow me to select anything, unlike my other media integrations. However, going to the device directly worked fine - very strange!
Unfortunately, enabling network standby as instructed seems to leave the device fully powered up and it runs quite hot, so I have turned this off, rendering the integration useless. Instead, I control the receiver with my Harmony remote.
With my Yamaha receiver, it barely gets warm on standby.
ok. You could also look at the broadlink rm4 pro. I still use that for controlling my Sony equipment from HA for functions which aren’t available natively. Also, I use Node-red with this node-red-sony-audio (node) - Node-RED.
Thanks, my Harmony Hubs are still working fine - for now! I hadn’t thought of Node-RED, although I have it setup and working for my alarm system. I’ll check it out.
