Sorry, there is no device named TV

As of recently, (Nov 2025), Voice PE (Assist, English) no longer starts the TV when given the command: “OK Nabu. Turn on the TV”. It used to respond: “Turned on the switch”, but now it’s : “Sorry, there is no device named TV”.

Strictly speaking, it’s true. There is no such device. It’s a switch entity.

Something has changed and I fail to understand what.

Suggestions anyone?

Need a bit more, I think…

  • What’s the switch entity?
  • Is its name “TV”?
  • Does it have an Alias “TV”?
  • What does Assist think it’s trying to turn on? (Look at the debug log.)

You can see your problem in the log.
Look beter at your image
It is looking for a device called T<> V
If you give it a 2nd alias with T V (with space) then probaly it will work.
