SoundTouch Hybrid Card – Custom Lovelace Card for Bose SoundTouch Speakers

What is it?
A custom Lovelace card (soundtouch-hybrid-card.js) for anyone running Bose SoundTouch speakers through the community add-on Bose SoundTouch Hybrid (by TJGigs, Node.js backend) in Home Assistant.

Example

Why a custom card?
The add-on ships its own web UI, which most people so far have embedded as an iframe card (control_card.html + style_controlcard.css) in Home Assistant. That works, but it has no direct access to hass — i.e. no access to entities or other integrations. This card is therefore a proper Lovelace custom card that talks directly to Home Assistant.

Features

  • Control your Bose SoundTouch speakers right from Home Assistant
  • Music Assistant (MASS) integration: speakers are wired up as regular media_player entities via MASS
  • Deezer support: a heart button next to the track title lets you add the currently playing song to your Deezer favorites — via Music Assistant’s own API (music/favorites/add_item), not through the Bose app → This should also work with Spotify, Tidal … but i wasn´t able to test this so far.
  • Configurable, not hardcoded: bose_url and mass_url are freely configurable, so the card also works if Music Assistant runs on a different server than the Bose add-on

Feedback, ideas, and testing on other setups (especially with MASS on a separate server) are very welcome!

I Just realised it s not yet in the official HACS. So anyone interested needs to add it as a custom repo by adding the Link GitHub - ManueltheMighty/SoundTouch-Hybrid-Card: A standalone Home Assistant Lovelace custom card to control Bose SoundTouch speakers via the Bose SoundTouch Hybrid add-on, with a favorite button powered by Music Assistant. · GitHub
