Is there a way to connect wireless speakers to HA to be used as a media playback device? I see that Sonos can, but kind of pricey. Speakers will need to be placed outside under a Gazebo. Wifi, and Bluetooth Proxy is available at that location.
Thanks
I use Google Audio speakers

Are they waterproof? They will be outdoors.

Not tried this but it may do what you want???
Hey everyone! Sharing a companion project built on top of the Sendspin protocol.
What it does: Each Bluetooth speaker appears as a regular player in Music Assistant — play music, control volume, group for multiroom, all from the MA UI or a dedicated web dashboard.
[screenshot-dashboard-full]
Key features:
• Multi-device — bridge multiple BT speakers simultaneously, each as its own MA player
• Multiroom sync — group speakers across bridge instances with MA sync groups
• 4 deployment option…
Alternatively there are many esp32 based speakers available that will do sendspin, from aliexpress specials to bespoke setups just search google.
