I read somewhere (which I cannot find again), that the new HS fan controller, which has 4 speed selections, can be fine adjusted for each of the 4 speed settings. That would be nice, but I cannot find this info on any HS spec nor in any general web search.
Does anyone know this?
You can set the fan type to 4-speed in the control panel. Is that what you mean?
Control Panel -> Z-Wave -> Select Fan Node -> Node Config Options -> Parameter 5: Fan Type -> Set to 4-speed -> Click “SET CONFIG PARAMETER”.
Note that HA only supports 3 fan speeds (low, med, high) and off.
Not quite. I read somewhere that there is a tweak adjustment to adjust the output for each speed; like a potentiometer to fine tune the speed. I guess it’s only wishful thinking, but there are some light dimmers that one can adjust the low point with a pot, so it’s technically possible.
Ah, gotcha. I have this switch but have not heard about any kind of adjustments. Have you tried asking HomeSeer directly? They have a support forum, I didn’t find anything there myself.
I have heard others that claim that the HomeSeer and GE switches do not produce the max fan speed though. I have not verified that myself.
