SPM02V3 power meter showing one phase in negative

Hi guys, really new to HA and the forum.

I have HA setup on a nas, runs great and i have a sonoff p dongle up and running also.
i recenlty purchased a tuya [SPM02V3] power meter, 3 phase. i wired it in, got it working.
It sits right under the 3 phase switch in my appartments CU. I want to measure my total consumption for the entire home.

However, one phase, phase c, always displays negative. my house runs at around 500w when im my pc is on, i know this from measureing other devices and i have a seperate smart power meter for my office, but my power from the main 3 phase meter looks like this.

The CT rings for the phase cables are inside the unit, not external, so its not possible that one is facing the wrong way. Its also not possible that power is going back down that phase, as i have no power generation in my flat, so i cant be making a total on -300watts.

is the unit faulty? any other ideas?

Thanks

Brad

For tuya device it wouldn’t surprise me anyhow.

yeah, i mean its highly possible. but i think not, as at one point, pase 1 also went to a negative number, just for 5 mins, so either the unit is mega faulty, or my house wiring is on the fritz

How much? Cheap energy monitors can’t read so well current very close to zero, so few watts of negative could be just within it’s tolerances.

Just make sure that your electricity provider pays you for the “export”.

nah it went to like -60w or something, ive never seen PH1 do that. but PH3 constantly reads minus.

Ph3 could have just CT inverted but that ph1 negative doesn’t sound good.
So you don’t have anything generating power? Some (bad) UPS?
If not, return your device and get Shelly 3EM.

i mean i have a small ups for my Nas. but i jsut tested ph3 with a hairdryer and it went to -1000w.
then i tested ph1, that usually sits at around 70w with the same hairdryer and it went to -900 or something. id think i have the CT box round the wrong way, but the arrow is correct. and if it was the other way, then the regular 1/2 values would be in negative. i cant find a reason why they keep moving from pos to neg. there is no reason for any of them to every show neg values.
i do have a solar array, but thats way down the line and has no input to my flat upstairs at all. it runs through an inverter in the garage.

If it outputs negative value for consumption, it’s totally ok.
But if it has 70w (or maybe more, I don’t know the real consumption)) offset, that doesn’t sound like acceptable.
