This behavior is bugging me for years now and I wonder if anyone else is experiencing this too or what might be wrong (with my setup)
I’m running Lyrion in an Alpine LXC, before different versions of Debian LXC’s.
Also, started out with LMS (Logitech) and almost always upgraded quite immediately.
On top of that even started from scratch and tried with multiple HA systems in LXC and VM, even now on a clean test system.
This issue keeps coming back: at some time the info is not updated anymore.
The progress bar is moving but the track length is even not correct.
Pausing and powering off doesn’t change anything.
Removing the playlist and adding it back does solve it - for some time, sometimes even after the first track.
Mostly ‘Don’t Stop the Music’ is active, don’t know if that plays a role.
This is not a big thing but the info is displayed on a few displays so it would be nice if it’s correct and I would like to be able to ask assist for this info but it has to be correct to be useful.
I guess it needless to say that the state attribute is also incorrect.
Hi @Nick4 I’ve never seen this tbh, but I don’t use DSTM. First questions would be a) do you see anything in the logs and b) if you look at Lyrion using something else (e.g. material or an app etc.), do you also see the metadata sticking?
a) logs: do you mean HA logs?
→ there is nothing regarding this
b) by sticking: do you mean not updating, right?
→ with any browser or the LMS Android app things are OK
It seems to be related to the HA integration IMHO.
Any suggestions what else I can check?
You could activate the debug log for the integration.
go to the squeezebox integration, press the 3 dots in the upper right corner and enable it. If you do think the problems arise from the integration itself.
DSTM surely isn’t the problem, tried that for the past 2 hours without problems.
While I normally use spicefly sugarcube for a more suiting endless playlist, though this does require fingerprints which depending upon your collection might take lots of itme.
In the end your problems sounds strange, haven’t had such issues since Lyron replaced LMS, better said since it was renamed.
Yes, as @justone says, this isn’t normal and I need to see the debug logs (Settings, Integrations, Squeezebox - top right 3 dot menu - enable debug logging). Nice and easy to turn on, but the debug logs will be pretty noisy, so I suggest turning it on and then keeping an eye on it and stopping it when it gives a problem and then just post the logs from around the time of the problem.
