Starling Hub connection problem

Hello everyone! So, about a week ago, I had my HA connected to my Starling Hub and everything was working (more or less, I didn’t get a lot of time to mess with it). A few days later, I had a major issue with my router and my modem and had to factory reset both of them. Since re-setting up my network, I can’t get HA to connect to my Starling.

I follow all the steps, but I get a “failed to connect” error. Thing is, this happened before - I found an answer online or figured it out or something, I was able to get past the error.

But I can’t, for the life of me, remember how! I have searched all over, I have tried everything - but nothing is working this time!

I am hoping one of you can help me.

Like I said, I DID have it working before - I didn’t have to unpair it from HomeKit or anything (and I don’t want to this time either), and I got it working. I just can’t remember how!

Just started having the same issue this morning. Realized it after my Home AC didn’t kick in when it should have to cool off our pets. Any luck?

Unfortunately, no. I have no idea how I got it working before - I am hoping to get it figured out sooner or later. I am still trying - if I figure it out, I promise to post about it here

I seem to have fixed the problem (more or less), and once again, I am not exactly sure what I did that fixed it. But I do know what I did differently, although it doesn’t make much sense as to why this would have fixed it. But here goes:

In Starling, when you go to the “Developer Connect” section (I believe that’s what its called), you can click on a link that will take you to a page that gives you the information that you need. To this point, I typed it in myself - being sure to type exactly what I saw. This time I copied it and pasted it into Home Assistant - and now it works.

I dunno why this seemed to work, but it did work for me.
