There is a way to get GPS coordinates as well as elevation data in real time through the StarLink integration. You need to enable the GPS function first via the StarLink app. Open the app, press the two horizontal lines in the upper left hand corner, scroll to bottom of the next page and push the “i” with the circle around it. Then click on “Debug data”, scroll to the bottom of the Debug data page and enable “Allow access on local network”. This enables GPS functionality on your local subnet.
After enabling settings on the StarLink terminal you need to enable the three disabled location sensors in the Home Assistant StarLink integration. As an added bonus, the StarLink terminal also provides highly accurate Stratum 1 NTP (time) service at 192.168.100.1 to keep your devices time synched.
