Starting a new fresh install - RPi 5 + SSD

Hi All, I’m not a new user and I love HA.

My current setup is Pi 4 2GB and is probably full of old data and orphaned entities ( I wish there was an easy way to remove these ‘en mass’ but it seems that I have to delete these individually and it takes ages )

Anyway I bought a shiny new Pi 5 with MVMe base to start a new install from scratch.

My mistake was to use a micro SD card for the initial install.

It seems like I should have installed HAOS on the SSD first and also set the Pi to boot from SSD, which is a pain now because I’ve assembled the Pi with the NVMe base.

Is it possible to install the HAOS on the SSD and get it to boot from there using the SD card install?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

All good now thanks for the help (none). For anyone having this same issue, I had to boot the RPi5 with a standard OS which I think is linux. Then with a keyboard and mouse and monitor go to the terminal and set the boot options to NVMe first.
