Statistics card: respect the custom unit set on entities

I have a bunch of entities, sensors, that track the daily usage of certain devices at home, such as the dishwasher, washing machine, dryer. When these things are on, it tracks how long they’ve been on in seconds.

I have changed the unit that they’re displayed into hours, because it really doesn’t make sense to see a tile or a graph that says that my dishwasher has been on for 3,700 seconds today. This is wonderful because I can see usage of certain devices in a humanly meaningful unit of time, while the usage time is properly tracked to seconds precision.

Nevertheless, the unit in which they are displayed when they are added to a statistics graph card is seconds, not hours. There does not seem to be a way to tell the statistics graph card to respect the display unit of the entity it is displaying.

I would like to formally request that this feature be added into the statistics graph card, because otherwise the unit that I have set is not actually used.

Can you change the unit for the created statistics entity to hours?

I did that but the graphs do not respect it. The changed unit shows correctly in other dialogs.

That’s… curious.

I have a graph for data transferred on my WLAN router and it allows me to select from TWO units only: Mbit/s and KiB/s:

However, such unit option isn’t described in the statistics-graph docs lol

And then, to add insult to the injury, the statistic card has a unit option (described in docs, though), but that’s only for visuals (the UI field is text, not radio or a select box), it does NOT convert the data as the Statistics Graph does :exploding_head:
And even if you change the underlying entity’s unit, it only refreshes the card if you refresh the screen, or enter edit mode…
