Statistics for counters - bars instead of lines? --> Coming from IP-Symcon

Hey Guys,
I just took all my functions that have accumulated in IP-Symcon over about 11 years.
Basically all things are much better in HA, I really love it.

Just there is one thing, where I really wonder how counters are handled in HA:

Here is a counter that is shown as a line in HA:

Here is the same in IP-Symcon:

I know that there is a bar-graph plugin, which shows more or less the same view, but is only available in the dashboard.

My main questions is: Is there any way to show the bar-graphs whenever clicking on the variable, instead of the line-graph?
In my opinion the latter one gives way more information, because it does basically show the particular value-change in a certain time-period.

Those two graphs are of different data sources.

The first one is graphing a daily total the second one is graphing an hourly total.

Not without replacing the more info pop-up card with one of your own design using browser-mod.

Assuming your sensor has the correct state and device classes, use the statistics chart with hourly statistics, not the history graph chart.

If you look at the lower left of the second one, it also has decade, year, month, week, day etc…
It basically gathers the data from the archive and then translates it into the yearly, monthly, daily etc. change.

It is very useful for comparing data - like “my heat pump has used last December 1000kW, after insulating the roof, this year it only has been 600kW”.

But as per my understanding, which might be wrong, also the bar-graph does just take the archive data and just displays it in a different way.

The point is - I have about 241 sensors related to energy - lets assume 1/4 of them might be counters - it is pointless to add a card for each in the dashboard.
You know - not all of them require a frequent look into them.
But sometimes, it might be very useful to see - for e.g. how much energy did my AC use overnight, how much energy did my TV use…etc.

The energy dashboard has an hourly individual devices chart.
