I have many echo dots around the place and also the garage. I would like to stop the echo dot in the garage from responding to voice commands(routines) except a couple.
From research I’ve found I could:

Put a smart plug behind it and turn it on and off when my phone connects to the garage ap - this takes too long too boot up.

Use a mechincal switch when my phone connects to the garage ap - clunky

Update all automations/scripts/etc exposed to only fire if the alexa device is NOT garage_echo - Seems like the only real way but it’s a lot of automations to amend, if this is possible
I’m wondering how others are doing this?
