Strange bug(?) in stability of Android App?

I’m using old Xperia tablet SGP321 on Android 5.1.1 to monitor Home Assistant. As i see there is a problem with touch screen generate from time to time random touches and opens random detail pop-ups of sensor or other inputs/outputs.
Randomly application hangs with blank screen. Unfortunetelly restart/kill application does not help. Even cleaning App Cache does not help!! Only clear full configuration (or reinstallation) helps.
It should not work that way. I can understand that app can freeze after random touches on Dashboard, even corrupt cache - but not configuration itself!
Any advice?

That sounds like a poor device to use to view or interact with HA. Annoying at best and catastrophic depending on what all you have integrated into HA.

Totally agree. But application should not react like that. Can hang - but should not corrupt configuration. Now i’m working via Chrome WEB browser - so far, so good.

I have the app installed on a Kindle Fire 8. For the last few weeks it has stopped working correctly - often freezes on opening and shows just a white screen. Forcing it to stop and clearing the cache usually gets it working again.

In my case - clearing cache is not enough - i have to clear configuration or reinstall app. Web app works well till now
