Hi, I have installed the stream component and everything works fine with my Xiaofang Camera with dafang hacks. However I always need to “open” the camera twice in the frontend to start streaming. (The first time it would just do nothing). This is also true for automations I have made with this. So whenever I want this to be streamed to my Apple TV (or other media player) the automation HAS to trigger twice before displaying anything.
Anyone else experience this? If so anyone know a workaround? And or will this be fixed in the future?
Besides this little quirck the stream component is great and works better than the “old” way.
The second and subsequent streams are usually always better in my experience. It takes about 20 seconds or so for the first stream to start and it is kept alive for 5 minutes which is why the second time its much faster. Are you leaving the stream open for about 20 seconds or so at first while the stream starts up? There are also some fixes in 0.90.1 and more coming in 0.90.2 I suggest trying 0.90.1 if you haven’t already and checking out 0.90.2 when that comes out.
I am running the latest version 0.90.1, but no. I do not leave the stream running. I just open it the first time, close it immediately and open it a second time. The second time it will load the stream immediately. The first time it won’t do anything at all even after waiting 40 seconds. If I wait that long and press it again it won’t do anything either. I have to open it, close immediately and open it again for it to work.
But I thought it might be a bug that is worked on, so I might just wait till 0.90.2. I was just wondering this thats all.
