Struggles with Ikea Rodret Dimmer turning on disabled/unlinked lights

Hey everyone,

I just setup my smart home with HA, everything works great apart from the Rodret dimmers I purchased from Ikea. The issue I’m having is really weird, I haven’t seen anyone post something like this (unless I’m blind). So basically, if I configure the dimmer via a blueprint or an automation to turn on/off a light, it works, however it also controls lights that are t in said blueprint/automation. I cannot find a way to disable the “unwanted lights” from turning on or off when using the dimmer. I’ve reinstalled and deleted the devices many times. I honestly am not sure what to do anymore.

If someone has experienced a similar issue or might have a solution, please share it!

Hi Charles,

I started to experience this same issue, ever since I added a second Rodret dimmer. The first dimmer was working perfectly, just binding it made all functionality work. After adding the second dimmer they would affect each other’s targets.

I force removed the remotes. They would re-add themselves even though I did not Permit Join or anything… Force removing them again and then re-adding did the trick in the end.
