Suddenly a new ESP32 is unavailable

I am just setting up two ESP32’s for my situation. I had one working (just programmed but not connectd to the devices it will monitor) for about 4 days. I got another ESP32 and got it connected to my HA, programmed some pins. I went to the original and it is unavailable. In the name for it I have a space. It also isn’t providing a webpage. What could do this??

Thanks

Went to it where? In the esphome UI or in HA integration page?

Can you ping it?

Hi,
Update, both show entries unavailable now.

I can ping both of them, I can upload a change to the YAML on both. But all the devices are greyed out. I’ll post a pic of what I am seeing

Could they be asleep? I haven’t created any options for that. They show up in the ESPHome UI and also the HA, but it is like the devices and entities are offline.

If they show up in the esphome ui then you should be able to see the logs ( and post them here)

Here they are:

The ESPhome UI shows them online. It shows both ESPs. Dumb question can the ESPHome handle more than one ESP? Or do I need multiple integrations (ESPHome) one for each ESP? Thanks for taking the time to help me

Just looks like something went wrong when installing because you got a “2” in your entities. I would delete the the integration side of things and all of the entities. Check that you got them all deleted, take your time. Some times you need to restart to delete entities. Once done then restart and reinstall it (don’t install until the related entities are deleted). This should tidy things up.

Thanks. I will try that. Where is the 2?

I deleted the two nodes in the integration, reset the system and then went back to that. I checked the check to make sure that the entities were gone. Went back to the integration and the system. It discovered the two nodes so I added them and it appears to be okay. Time will tell

All should be good now. Thanks for letting us know and I am glad you were able to get this fixed. :facepunch: :grinning:

Thanks for your help!
