Supervisor log entries in home-assistant.log

How do I output entries in the Supervisor log to the home-assistant.log.
I figure I have to use “Logger:” in the configuration.yaml - but what is the name of the Supervisor log?

No one?

My configuration.yaml looks like this:

  default: warn
    supervisor.hardware.monitor: debug
    homeassistant.supervisor: debug
    supervisor.hardware: debug
    supervisor: debug

But I still does not get any entries from the supervisor log.

From the supervisor log I need the ‘detection’ line added to the home-assistant.log.

21-03-26 09:34:43 INFO (MainThread) [supervisor.hardware.monitor] Detecting HardwareAction.ADD serial hardware /dev/input/event0 - /dev/input/by-id/usb-Burr-Brown_from_TI_USB_Audio_DAC-event-if02

The supervisor runs under a different environment in a different container, what you are trying to do is not possible.

Thx

So there is no way that one can read the supervisor log from Home Assistant with a sensor or alike?

I am trying to test whether a device turns on an off. Can only be done via the USB port - when it turns on the supervisor log states a line like above.

I used the command line sensor to test whether the USB device are connected or not.

  - platform: command_line
    name: sensor_name
command: 'test -h /dir/myfile && echo "exists" || echo "do not exists"'
    scan_interval: 5

The logs are available in the Terminal+SSH console using

ha supervisor logs

Suggestion: use ‘more’ to scroll through the log, or redirect to a file and examine the file.
