Support for ChargeAmp's My Charge Space

Does anybody of you use the “Green Charging” functionality of the Charge Amps Amp Guard?
I would bei interested to exchange about your experience. Mine is not working as expected yet and feedback from support is currently not as fast as it was.

You are referring to this agreement right?

Has anyone here signed it?

It took 2 months for me to get a response from Charge Amps support and now I´m not sure if I dare to sign it.

I have signed the API agreement. API works smoothly.

Is your charge still running the CAPI firmware or so you have the upgraded OCPP-version?

Since upgraded to OCPP I have trouble starting a loading session and no way to stop it from HA.

Solved my above post by using remote_start/stop-action with rfid

Hej Asse3!
I have several halo’s and the API key for them.
I get Enable/Disable action to Work but when I try the remote_start I get a 400 error?, Can you show me your code?
This is working,

  • action: chargeamps.enable
    metadata: {}
    data:
    chargepoint: 1xxxxxxxM
    connector: 1

This is not working?

  • action: chargeamps.remote_start
    metadata: {}
    data:
    chargepoint: 1xxxxxxxxM
    connector: 1

I thought that Charge Amps was in the technical lead, but no official support for HA? I´m a bit surprised.

Since the developer don´t have a charge Amps anymore I guess this integration will be abanded. Have anyone suggested to Charge Amps to continue the support of this intergration?

Anyway, Charge Amps supports OCPP, but I don´t manage to get HA to find my Charge Amps Dawn using HACS OCPP plugin. This should work, and I think it is the way to go to connect chargers to HA.

You’re right that OCPP support is the way to go for integrating chargers with Home Assistant. However, for it to work, there needs to be a way to configure the Charge Amps charger to point to Home Assistant as the OCPP backend/server. As far as I know, there’s currently no option to set a custom OCPP endpoint in the Charge Amps app—at least not the last time I checked. That makes it difficult (if not impossible) to get the HACS OCPP integration working with Charge Amps unless they add that functionality.

But maybe this is something that can be done somehow?

Hej!

Sorry for late response, have you got it to work?

In this thread is more on the solution I used:

There is an option now to set a custom OCPP server:

However, I haven’t been able to get it working yet with GitHub - lbbrhzn/ocpp: Home Assistant integration for electric vehicle chargers that support the Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP)..

How do you access that setting? I can’t find it in Partner login.
