I brought an AI HAT+ 2, and I’ll like to include it within my Home Assistant OS. Is there any documentation out there anyone can share?
There is no official integration, nor anything available via HACS.
Hailo-10 uses a custom version of Ollama that communicates only via REST APIs, not through standard JSON responses.
I bought it as well. I’d like to avoid building a middleware from scratch since I don’t fully have the skills for it, but at the moment it seems to be the only viable approach.

Me and Claude created a custom integration for this. it seems to work well, although it is very simple. Unfortunately, the already existing models don’t support control of the home assistant devices. The Hailo HATs seem to be better for image processing. Maybe I’ll dig into this and try to train a model that can work as an assistant.
For anyone interested on trying the integration, just for chatting, you can find it here. Feel free to open issues for any bugs, or ideas.
Hey, thanks for starting a addon. Did you see https://www.raspberrypi.com/news/when-and-why-you-might-need-the-raspberry-pi-ai-hat-plus-2/ and Hailo-10H on Home Assistant - Edge AI Home Automation - Announcements - Hailo Community which describe the classical HA approach voice2action.
