I can only assume you’ve read the docs, but everything is done in the UI. No need to add any folders/files.

Yup read docs, I used to have sureha installed but removed and was going to go with surepetcare since the api change, but I can’t get neither to work, either thru the UI or manually adding the components to code?

Is this integration still working for everyone? I use the underlying API bindings outside of HA for other purposes and recently found that Sure had changed the behaviour of their API.
I’ve made the necessary fixes and René’s bindings are now working again for me. A pull request is in so, if not working for you now, hold on, as soon as René can see to the PR you should be able to get things back to normal.
If after then, you still have problems, ping me on René’s github repo and I’ll see what I can do.

works for me and never had a problem altho i never updated the unit BUT it probable has in the background …

The problem arose because of some changes Sure Petcare made to their production API, so if you rely on anything that relies on the affected endpoints, you’ll have the problem whether you upgraded or not.
Sounds as though the HA integration doesn’t, which is good news! Nevertheless, René has now merged my PR, so upgrading will pull in those fixes anyway.
René has now merged my PR, so a pull from his repo will grab the fix (and you can find the PR from the repo if you want to see what changed).
I’ll go make myself known on the issue you linked. I don’t yet run HA myself (I was hoping to get that installed this weekend, as it was, but I doubt it will happen until next at this rate) and, of course, I will install the Surepet integration when I do. If there are problems, I will fix them and send another PR (and post to that issue).
Ed: it seems either the HA integration moved from René’s API to @benleb’s at some point in 2020, or else there are (at least) two different HA integrations floating around. The one in the HA repo is Benleb’s, not René’s, and the issue you linked appears to refer to Benleb’s, so there’s not a lot I can do to help with that one. This thread began with René’s and may now be a mixture of both.

Hi, i was also looking for a smart cat door, seems quite limited, only found the sureflap one … But damn, its expensive … Is the hub needed? What protocol is that? Can it maybe be controlled with Zigbee?

Interested in buying this, reading reviews, but see complains bout battery?? Not the expected year? What’s your experience guys?
Will it maybe help to place the hub nearby? So the door needs to use less power to connect to it?
Not sure where you’re reading that, but I’ve had no issues with battery life.

If you are in the opportunity, can you make a picture of the power supply? I have an LAN connection nearby, but no power socket, i want to make the device an POE device
