Until the last update, the 5 GHz switch controlled the 6 GHz Wi‑Fi on my 5690 Pro. Now it finally works correctly. But will there also be a dedicated switch for the 6 GHz Wi‑Fi soon?
The question is not clear. You might be confusing the WiFi carrier frequency with the bit rate of Ethernet.
Usually, the term 6GHz refers to the radio frequency used while “switches” handle wired connections.

No one here has any idea which device you're referring to, not how it's integrated into HA. You need to provide at least some basic info if y want help.
Welcome to the community!
That would explain the 6g reference...
It does not explain the question. I agree with Shadow, how is this related to Home Assistant?
I use the FritzBox 5690pro and its integrated in homeassistant through the FRITZ!Box Tools integration (as part of homeassistant). There you can turn the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz WiFi on and off. Its a "configuration switch"
So until the last update this 5Ghz "switch" was turning my 6Ghz WiFi on and off.
Now its turning the correct 5Ghz WiFi on and off.
But i would like to have an additional "switch" to turn also the 6Ghz WiFi on and off.
In the screenshot you will see which switches i mean.
Ho, now I see. You meant “switch” in the general sense, not the technical word. That’s OK, not everyone in the works is up on technical English
We were all thinking “switch” was a metal box witj many RJ-45 jacks. With computer networks “switch” means one of those and it was not at all clear how it could an Ethernet switch could control a radio in the router.
OK, now I can say why there is no “switch” for 6GHz. Because the control is for what is technically a network. The router suports two networks and 5 and 2.4 is just informal names. With the introduction of WiFi6e and now WiFi7 the name is no longer perfectly descriptive because “5GHz” networks can also (otionally) have a 6Ghz band. The 6Ghz is not a seporate network, just an additional band. So three “switches” on that GUI would be not possible because you absolutly can not turn off 5GHz but leave 6Ghz on. but you could turn off the 6Hz portion of the 5Ghz network.
Maybe the clearer way to say this is that “6GHz is not independantly switchable, you can only enable it if you have also enabled 5GHz”. Three independant sliders would not enforce that.
Sorry, i didn't meant the network switch.
But technically in my FritzBox i can turn on and off each network independently. I can turn off 5Ghz band and leave 6Ghz on and turn off 6Ghz and leave 5Ghz on. And the 2.4Ghz independent too.
Sounds like a bug, regression, or enhancement request. Have you raised the issue in GitHub where the app developer will most likely see it, rather than read this thread?
When you do, please link it back here for others that may be interested in the outcome.
