Hi all. First time here! I am about to jump into Home Assistant and am in the process of planning out smart devices for my new home that I get this summer.
I am hoping to use LeGrand Radiant Tru-Universal wifi switches. I like the feel of the toggle, the look, and it is one of the very few switches that is both reverse and forward phase compatible, as I have a lot of LEDs that require ELV or reverse phase dimmers to dim properly. However, I can’t seem to find if they integrate with Home Assistant? They work with Google Home - so if that is the case, can I essentially control them via Home Assistant by relaying the instructions to Google Home through the Home Assistant interface? Forgive me if my terms are wrong here - I’m building the raspbery pi to host Home Assistant next month, so maybe I’ll have to play with it first, but I’m really hoping I can get these switches to work. If anyone knows of any other paddle switches that can reverse phase dim and have a separate toggle/button for dimming, let me know as well!
The other integration question I had is on cameras. Can any IP camera integrate? I’m liking getting cameras from Reolink. Again, they integrate with Google or Alexa, so I am hoping that means I can still control it with Home Assistant.
Thanks in advance! Please feel free to correct any assumptions or terminology, I’m happy to learn more as I take the plunge into home automation.
EDIT: Also, side question… do I need to be paying the subscription to Nabu Casa in order to make my Home Assistant work with Google Home?
