Switch mis-categorised as a lock

Hi,

I’m trying to get a Lightwave scene controller to work. I have successfully added the Lightwave integration using HACS, and this has added the Lightwave hub. It has also looked up the controller device in my Lightwave account and added it.

Unfortunately, it has added it as a lock, rather than a 4-button scene controller, so the trigger events in an Automation are lock / unlock / jammed / open etc.

Change device class doesn’t appear as an option and removing the device and refreshing via my Lightwave account just mis-categorises it again and there are no options to change anything at the Lightwave end.

Any ideas, anyone? if you do reply, please bear in mind I’m a noob and not a programmer. Thanks for your patience.

Further investigation…I have installed a wired switch with appears correct in HA. In the Device screen, it has a ‘Controls’ panel that the wireless scene controller doesn’t, which maybe the configuration issue:

If I am correct, it is the absence of a usable trigger that is prevent me mapping the scene controller to a scene in an automation.

Any help appreciated.
